OC HALLOWEEN: day one → aot ocs + the murder of erwin smith

when commander erwin smith calls four compatriots to have dinner with him, no one thinks anything of it. that is, until the four walk out - and erwin doesn’t. each has blood on their hands, literally, and all refuse to talk. all anyone knows is who was there that night: piper bodt and finley mcarthur, scouts and close friends whose skeletons in their closets they may blame on the commander; sutton radclyffee, guardian to the crown, unafraid to eliminate potential threats; and astrid beaumont, close in rank to the commander - close enough to kill. the scouts are left without a commander, and the people are left wondering - who killed erwin smith?

NOW YOU’RE SPEAKING THEIR LANGUAGE

sooo they work for the palace guards essentially, so they know like erwin and pyxis and zackly pretty early on. they also eventually help them all overthrow the current regime, so they’re not like completely unfamiliar with the scouts. that being said, levi and all them are helping to save eren at that point (so im assuming astrid is with them), so they would probably meet after all the fighting is said and done (bc sutton has... so much historia stuff going on in that fight god bless em). so im picturing like sutton is with erwin discussing the current military layout or smth and levi and astrid enter to talk to erwin and COMPLETE sutton shut down. like just. o.o type beat. levi and astrid don’t even ACKNOWLEDGE them they just say what they have to say to erwin and leave and sutton is COMPLETELY shook. they probably don’t even talk until months later when sutton can form a coherent sentence LKSDNKLNFNFLK

3. What do they do for a living? Is it their dream job? If not, what is?

they’re a person of many hats!! they work at their dad’s security company part time, but that’s not what they want to do forever. they’re also a criminal justice major and a teacher’s assistant!! they wanna teach at the collegiate level fulltime one day.

6. What’s some of their hobbies?

listening to music, taking long drives in their car (their BELOVED), staying at the library til closing, making lesson plans, bingewatching reality tv shows on netflix

9. Do they have any best friends? What’s their relationship like? How did they meet?

ive yet to form any brotps for sutton in canon (bc all their opinions are frustratingly vague <3) BUT bc they’re both in the criminal justice department, they’d be hanging out with levi All the Time. they adore him, look up to him, want to be just like him. i do also think they’d love eren (feral bastard <3) and they’d be like “i don’t play favorites..... but--” and then play favorites

12. What’s their favorite movie, the one they have to show all of their friends/partners?

if i do anything, it’s give my ocs my cringe movie tastes, so i am officially dubbing their favorite movie legally blonde

15. What’s their sense of fashion like?

modern day sutton is very business fish - smart button ups, plaid skirts/pants, tweed jackets. they sometimes do have their fuckboy days though where it’s a hoodie, sweatpants, and high-waisted boxers

18. Similarly, do they use dating apps? What does their profile look like?

honestly, they started dating historia midway through her freshman year and their junior year, so they probably had hinge for like... a year. and then they were like “hm. this sucks!” and deleted it shortly before getting with historia kdnklfnkfn they don’t seem like the type for dating apps
